Educational programmes

At Aalborg University, Center for Industrial Production is involved in a number of Engineering programmes as well as in the postgraduate Master of Management of Technology programme. Furthermore, CIP staff teach a number of Ph.D. courses designed for CIP as well as other PhD students.

Global Business Engineering (Offered in Danish only)

The education is offered as a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Bacehlor of Engineering degree. The education spans a broader set of areas than traditional engineering programmes: Technology, business development, organisational theory, management, economics, marketing, IT, operations management, supply chain and outsourcing is a part of the entire curriculum for the programme. The programme unites and combines knowledge from a wide range of area related to developing business systems in live organisations.

M.Sc. Eng. in Operations and Innovation Management (OIM)

The objective of the specialisation in Operations and Innovation Management is to offer a study that will give the student more extensive theoretical and methodical knowledge on technology management in an international perspective as regards planning, control, and management issues related to development, marketing, and production in internationally oriented companies. The projects involve the solution of specific problems of product marketing and company management and are carried out in co-operation with an industrial company.

M.Sc. Eng in Operations and Supply Chain Management (VS)

The objective of the specialisation in Operations and Supply Chain Management is to offer a study that will give the student a special competence to solve complex technological problems of production and to develop and implement systems for control and management of industrial companies; primarily in connection with preparation and implementation of industrial production. The projects in this Master programme involve the solution of specific problems regarding control of production and economy, management systems, as well as strategy development and strategic planning, and are carried out in co-operation with an industrial company.

MSc. in Global Innovation Management (GIM)

The MSc. in Global Innovation Management is a unique 2-year programme offered jointly by University of Strathclyde (Scotland), Aalborg University (Denmark) and Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), which enables graduates of first degrees in engineering, science and technology to successfully manage the innovation process across international boundaries.

Students have the opportunity to study at two European Universities and the programme's delivery over two years provides a greater depth of learning, more industrial engagement and a rich cultural experience. 

The programme starts in September of each year with a number of ERASMUS MUNDUS scholarships available for both Non-EU and EU based Students.
